During the fit-out of the new M&S at Selby, working with the client & Building Control, we were instructed to supply & fit two number 2-hour fire rated Jumbo partitions with a umbrella flame spreader to each side of the partition. The partition we installed was to a BG Specification with a Jumbo 146 S stud with two layers of Gyproc 15mm Fire Line plasterboard to each side with a tape & fill finish.
The flame spreader at the top of the partitions was formed with an mf system with 50mm insulation & two layers of 15mm fireline plasterboard with a tape & fill finish at a width of 2-metres each side of the fire rated partition.
On completion of our works a Passive Fire Register was issued along with a letter of assurance in system conformity.
