Our inspections can include an assessment of:

More Than Just the Fire Damper
One of Firewall’s key strengths is our ability to consider the complete fire compartmentation detail, rather than viewing the fire damper in isolation.
Our extensive experience in fire stopping and the construction of fire-rated walls, partitions and ceilings allows us to assess the damper together with the fire-resistant construction through which it passes.
Where an existing fire damper cannot be safely or practically accessed due to its location above a fire-rated ceiling, within a shaft or other restricted area, Firewall can provide and install appropriately specified fire-rated access hatches and access panels to facilitate future inspection, testing and maintenance while maintaining the required fire performance of the surrounding construction.
Where defects are identified within the surrounding compartmentation or associated fire stopping, Firewall can also provide practical remedial solutions and undertake the necessary passive fire protection works to reinstate the integrity of the compartment.
Fire Damper Inspection Reports
Following completion of the survey, Firewall can provide a comprehensive Fire Damper Inspection Report and Asset Register, giving clients a clear and traceable record of the dampers inspected.
Reports can include damper identification and location, accessibility, condition, photographic evidence, recorded defects and recommendations for any further investigation, improved access or remedial works required.
